I just wanted to give a quick update on what I've been doing, and what I'm currently working on. I know the last time I gave an update; I had all this stuff that I was going to, and I was going to do posts for all of it. So what became of all these grand plans for my blogs. Well to put it simply, Life happened. Between moving, work, and then the holiday's; I got burned out. There was just so much going on haphazardly, and at the same time. I was just constantly being thrown off course, and it's been a struggle to get things back in order.
Some of the projects that I had planned worked well, others not so much. Most of the smaller indoor projects have gone great. By small projects I'm referring to things, like the Spray Paint project that I posted just before my hiatus. While things like finishing painting didn't get done till just before the holidays. That was also when I finally started picking up frames for hanging old calendar pictures. I also more or less got my room situated in a livable order. The rest of the house is more or less set. My room was just a bit difficult due to the slope of the ceiling.
The outdoor projects haven't fared so well. Mostly due to the amount of work that needed to be done, in a short space of time. Most of the work being seasonal maintanence too. Also one of the cats developing a taste for plants has made things rather difficult. As of right now I'm working on a landscape, and garden layout for the backyard. Trying to get together a list of ideas and potential problems to consider. Pintrest is going to be my friend for a bit.
Now that I'm done rambling about what has(n't) been done, its time to move on to what is being done now. I already mentioned the landscaping plans, and calendar framing project. Currently I am working on a daily routine to help me focus on tasks better, and to keep me from getting overwhelmed. It's still a work in progress, but hopefully I've made it flexible enough to deal with the curveballs. A lot of my current projects are small, as needed things. Things like draft stoppers, pillows, blankets, ect; its been rather cold here. I'm also trying to cook more, so I might eventually post some recipies. Anyways thats about it for now, gotta get back to drafting more posts.

I'm still around
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. Sorry about disappearing for months, without a word. Trying to get myself sorted out took longer than I thought it would. I didn't help myself any when I came up with all sorts of stuff to try to do at once, on multiple blogs. Which is why I've decided to primarily focus on this one. I plan on leaving "War, Lore, & Dreams" as it is, and may still post to it when I'm able to. On the other hand I will essentially merge "Rogue Serenity" with this blog. While I don't plan on deleting the blog; I will not be using it any time soon. Anything that I had previously planned to post there will be added to this blog instead.
On top of that I found several old blogs that I thought I had deleted, and will post re-directional links on them as well. With that said, I'm giving myself a couple of days to get those posts up. I hope they don't take me that long, but you never know. I don't want to drag this out any longer than it needs to be, just want you to know that I do plan to be posting more.

Spray Paint Projects
Moving can be really expensive, especialy if you decide to change your decor/color scheam. These changes can be expensive even if your not moving. One way you can save is to make over/reporpouse things that are still useful. Lately for me spray paint has been my friend. From old bins and baskets, to push pins and comand hooks. So far I have given all of these items spray make over, and here are some of the finished results.
My favorite colors to use right now are copper, and rose gold. I would have just gone with bronze for everything, but I can't find it as spray paint anywhere. The paint was only about $6 a can, and I'm still not out of paint yet. The bins I picked up at the dollar store a couple years ago, and the baskets were thrift shop finds/hand me down items. I don't have any of the comand hooks or push pins in this picture, but alot of those I have accumulated over the years as well. All in all this is a very cost effective way give your storage and utility pieces a unified look/make over.
As a side note I would like to point out that if you are only looking to change, say a handful of push pins. It maybe cheeper to shop around for small office supplies, as new ones could be cheeper than spray paint. This is only going to be a cost effective project if the price of all new pieces, is higher than the combined cost of materials.

Finally
Sorry about the posting drought there, we were finally able to move. My Roommate was thinking we should go with a different internet provider, so I didn't have internet until we settled on that. As it is things have been rather chaotic, and busy. I didn't really get to start unpacking my stuff until last night. I'm allowed to make changes to the backyard, and set up an actual garden! I am so excited to get to do some "landscaping" with my yard. I've already began making a compost barrel out of a trashcan, and plotting out spots for different plants. I've also been working on small projects for around the house, to help with getting things settled. I'm going to work on making some project specific posts to share, but those probably won't be up for a bit. Well that's all I can think of for now, really just wanted to give a quick update to let everyone know I'm still here.

Coming up with Craft & Garden Ideas
One thing I can say is; "The longer this move takes, the more idea's I come up with." Which is both good and bad. The good side is having an idea of what I want, and am able to somewhat prioritize before hand. The bad side is having an overwhelming amount of ideas, and I can't really work on any of them. Faire didn't help much with that either. I ended up coming home with a little garb companion, and I've got so many ideas for her.
On top of all the Home Decor stuff, there's also a lot of gardening stuff. Prioritization says that the garden comes first, since I probably won't have much time to work on it. At least anything that involves plants will need to be done right away. That doesn't mean I'm not considering all the things I can do outside. Like mason jar and washtub planters, or water features, kiddie pool lounge, pallet furniture, ect.
The list just keeps growing by the minute, and I feel stuck. I hope we get to move soon I need to get back to having a place to work on things.

Transplanting Pumpkins
Thursday I decided it was time to put the pumpkins in larger containers, even though we haven't moved yet. They just seemed too crowded, and I didn't feel comfortable waiting any longer. So I pulled out some extra dollar store storage containers I had sitting around, and set them up as temporary planters.
I have to say they all seem happy in their new home for now. It was also a bit of a surprise that I didn't lose any of them due to the 90+ temps that day. Of course it cooled down considerably a couple of days later, when I wouldn't have had the time. Oh well, all's well that ends well I guess.
